South Division Squeezing Closer
All six teams are separated by 10 points or less

The AJHL’s South Division is up for grabs with only 10 points separating the first place team from the last place team.  There is still room for change as last years regular season champions, the New Jersey Rockets, have only played 18 games compared to some teams that have played 22 or 23.

The biggest surprise is the Binghamton Jr. Senators who have been putting together a string a wins here and there.  This weekend they hosted the Philadelphia Little Flyers in a three game series.

Forward - Binghamton Jr. Senators
Ben not only scored the game tying goal in the Jr. Sens 5-4 win over Philadelphia on Sunday, he netted the game winning goal in the shootout.  Ben contributed greatly to Binghamton’s two wins over the Little Flyers.

Pledge for Sledge
Special Appeal - An Open Letter

Dear Members, Parents, Coaches, Managers and Fans;
As many of you know, the Atlantic Metropolitan Hockey League supports Sledge Hockey (or Sled Hockey) for special needs and disabled athletes. Over the years, our membership has been incredibly generous in supporting these efforts. In most years we raise $5000 to $6,000 to benefit Sled Hockey, and we usually are very quiet about it. If you haven't seen a Sled hockey game, just know its quite a humbling experience.

This year, we have a large request. The USA Under 20 Sledge team has a budget short fall and they desperately need our help. We have made a pledge to raise $15,000 for their special need in order to get them to the National competition in Sacramento, California, later this year. We need these funds by November 15th.
